Steve McIntosh is President and CEO of Research On Demand, Inc. He is an Information Scientist with over 25 years of experience in online news retrieval, patent and trademark searching, and competitor analysis for businesses and individuals.

Steve has designed front-end software for searching DIALOG, Knowledge Index, and LEXIS/NEXIS for both Macintosh and Windows platforms. He has also taught online searching for venture capitalists, corporate and private clients, and the International School of Information Management (ISIM).

His publication credits include ONLINE Magazine, Springer-Verlag Point, and the Apple Library User Group Newsletter. He has presented numerous workshops at national ONLINE conferences and at Computers in Libraries meetings.

He has a bachelor of sciences degree in Physical Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) from the University of Iowa. He is an active member of the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP) and the Southern California Online Users Group (SCOUG). He has been a pioneer in the information industry.
